Family Retreats

Camp David’s Weekend Family Retreats are uniquely designed for the families we serve that have been affected by incarceration.

The weekend retreat, called “Just Among Friends,” is for the moms and female caregivers of our campers- provided free! The weekend is a much needed get-away to relax, make friends, and connect with God. Laughter, stories, and tears will flow as mom are surrounded by others who “get it.” We want our moms to feel loved and pampered by this mini vacation in our lodge while their children are having a great time at camp. While moms are being refreshed, their children are enjoying camp like they do in the summer! Kids will be divided into teams with counselors and will enjoy horseback riding, arts & crafts and field games.

Packing List for moms and kids:

PLEASE PACK EACH PERSON SEPARATELY as Moms and campers will all be in separate housing units!!

Casual clothes
Sneakers and casual shoes
Pajamas, socks and underwear
Jacket and long pants (for cool evenings)
Shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste
Bible (if you have one)

Kids pack: (these will be provided for the moms)

Sleeping bags and pillows
Towels

*Be prepared to get a little muddy- we are a camp and we like to have fun!
